Two suspects, Anita Snell, 27, of Las Vegas, and Jamil Naylor Harris, 23, have been arrested for organized retail theft at the Irvine Spectrum Center in Orange County, according to the Irvine Police Department.
On December 15, officers responded to a theft in progress at a Lululemon store within the shopping center. Upon arrival, police observed four suspects fleeing the scene with stolen merchandise. While two individuals managed to evade capture, Snell and Harris were detained.
The group reportedly stole over $800 worth of items from Lululemon. Further investigation revealed approximately $2,000 worth of additional stolen merchandise inside the suspects’ vehicle, believed to have been taken from other stores across Southern California.
Both suspects were charged with organized retail theft and possession of stolen property.
“We have a strong partnership with the Irvine Spectrum and their security team,” Irvine police stated. “During the busy holiday season, we’ve increased officer presence to ensure the safety of the shopping center.”
