Anaheim, CA – A retail theft ring operating across Orange and Los Angeles counties has been taken down, with four suspects arrested following an investigation by the California Highway Patrol’s Organized Retail Crime Task Force (ORCTF).
On October 14, officers executed multiple search warrants, recovering more than $143,000 in stolen merchandise from locations tied to the suspects. According to CHP, the stolen goods passed through sites in Anaheim and Bloomington. Authorities believe the suspects, known as “boosters,” were responsible for a string of thefts between August 24 and September 27.
The suspects were arrested in Anaheim and booked into Orange County Jail. The case has been handed over to the Orange County District Attorney’s office. CHP officials continue to combat organized retail crime statewide, focusing on theft rings affecting retailers.
