CIS Security Solution’s

CIS Security Solution’s

CIS Security Solution’s products co-evolve with today’s needs. Recently, our oldest client stated that this is what sets us apart from other solution providers.  We listen, we communicate, we collaborate, and we change what needs changing, continuously.

In 2019-2020

Grab and Runs

In 2019-2020, Grab and Runs, Smash and Grabs, Looters, and Flash Mobs were everywhere and swept entire departments of jewelry, designer handbags, and outerwear. Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, higher shoplifting thresholds, riots, and store closures, requests from clients came in for CIS Security Solutions to develop “Caveman solutions for Caveman behavior”.  We accepted the challenge, and with our manufacturer, started designing a new line of larger and stronger alarmingrecoiling tethers to slow these thieves down.

TheGen6

TheGen6 Heavy Duty (HD)recoiling tether was created first. Gen6 HD hasa large recoiler with a 49-strand flexible stainless steel cable with a thick poly sleeve.  It had ALL the benefits of the Gen5’s sustainability and ease of use and made it harder to steal.  Gen6 HD was created out of necessity.Because the Gen6 tether was mounted on our Rod System, several fixtures were dragged as thieves attempted to sweep handbags from themand run for the door.  They didn’t get far, and they didn’t get any handbags out the door.  We were told the videos were quite entertaining to watch!

In 2021

In 2021 CIS expanded the Gen6 line, creating two new Smart versions of the alarming recoiler.   Smart Padlock (SP) and Smart Release Lock (SR).  These allowed you to deactivate and release the merchandise with one push of a button from the side of the Gen6 SR SmartRelease lock, or Gen6 SPSmart Padlock tag, using the new Smart Decoder.

In 2022

In 2022 we redesigned again.Gen5 and Gen6 now share the same new alarm top with a largerbatteryand special capabilities.  The decoder was redesigned with a larger battery as well, and a new design for more ease of use.

In 2022, CIS built hardware to keep alarming tethers locked to the fixtures in neat clean lines by using the Sleeve and Boot Systems.  CIS had started “Dressing the fixtures”.

The Sleeve system is an extensionabove the J-Hook hangbar arms with multiple Gen6 SR tethers mounted on it. This allows for a clean look andmakeshandbags more secure. The Sleeve system is a tested and proven success because the Sleeve prevented mobs from sweeping the handbag departments where they were deployed. The Sleeve is now currently in use in over 2,500 stores nationwide!

In 2023

The final design

In 2023, the final design of the Boot was implemented with the Gen6 SP (with Smart Padlock tag) for protecting outer wear on racks.  The Gen6 Smart Padlock tag is a Smart EAS tag with a customizable lanyard to which the Gen6 SP connects.  It communicates with the alarm if it is tampered with.

The Boot, holding 10 Gen6 SPrecoiling tethers, wraps around the leg of the fixture (T-Stand, 4-Way, H-Rack).  The 48” or  72”Smart Padlock lanyard is run through the sleeve of the individual piece of outerwear, then gets locked and connected to the Gen6 SP that is on the Boot. This system allows the customer to comfortably try the garment on while it is tethered to the fixture. The recoiling tether keeps it neat.

The Boot is currently being used in over 500 stores, with great success so far.The Boot has already been proven to protect outerwear.  In one NY store,an ORC sweep was prevented the day after the Boots were installed!
